Kathryn R. Weber

Ms. Weber has over 14 years of experience practicing immigration law and joined Scott D. Pollock & Associates, P.C. in 2004.  She is also is a former Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Chicago Chapter.

She holds  a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School where she graduated cum laude and was a student supervisor of the school’s immigration clinic.  During law school, she interned at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva, Switzerland on an Upper Midwest Human Rights Fellowship.

She has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2004 and has served on and chaired numerous national and Chicago Chapter committees, including the AILA National Refugee and Asylum Committee, AILA National International Operations Committee, AILA National EOIR Liaison Committee and the Chicago Chapter Asylum Liaison Committee and Chicago Chapter CBP Liaison Committee.  In 2010, she was elected to the Executive Board of the AILA Chicago Chapter for a six-year term.

She was selected as an Emerging Lawyer by the Leading Lawyers division of the Law Bulletin Publishing Company for 2015, 2016 and 2017.  Emerging Lawyers represent only two percent of all licensed lawyers in the State of Illinois who are 40 years old or younger or have been practicing law for 10 or fewer years. She was also selected for inclusion in Illinois Super Lawyers – Rising Star Editions 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.  She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and has performed in the Chicago Bar Association’s annual bar shows between 2010 and 2017.Ms. Weber is fluent in French and competent in Spanish.
