Maryfer Galindo
Prior to joining Scott D. Pollock & Associates, PC, Ms. Galindo worked as an Attorney Advisor at the Chicago Immigration Court within the Department of Justice (DOJ)’s Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).
During her four years at EOIR, she researched complex case law involving criminal convictions and drafted judicial decisions on matters including removability, cancellation of removal, asylum, and waivers, among others.
Maryfer is a native Spanish speaker.

- Maryfer worked in private practice for four years, focusing on family-based petitions before the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) and the National Visa Center (NVC), as well as defensive applications before the Chicago Immigration Court.
- Worked as a student attorney at UIC’s International Human Rights Clinic.
- Completed internships at the Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC) and the Chicago Immigration Court.
EDUCATION
- Maryfer earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and graduated cum laude in 2021.
