Excellent Work

June 2024

After having hired three reputable law firms in the past (and consulted four more) and getting no results (or even making the situation worse) and with thousands of dollars spent, we got lucky: we found the office of Scott D. Pollock.

Our case was quite complex, but Scott did an excellent job of not only understanding the little details and complexities within the first phone call, but also explaining all the possible scenarios and solutions for each one of them. Scott and Christina closely followed our case and prepared us for possible outcomes. But what sets them apart from other attorneys is that they stay very up-to-date with legal information from recent cases, which, in our case, was very valuable and led to a settlement.

It is an office of sincere, trustworthy, and compassionate attorneys who are extremely professional and organized. If you have an immigration issue and/or are disappointed with your current attorney, don’t hesitate to contact the office of Scott D. Pollock. He will help you when and where others can’t.

Helpful, reliable, and professional

July 2022

“I haven’t yet used their services. That being said, I have been able to reach out to them and they have proven to be helpful, reliable, and professional. Answering any questions I have and giving me a quote for their services. I might not need to use them, but if the USA government bureaucrats prove to be chaotic, I will be using their services.”

Thanks to Christina Murdoch, I’m now a US citizen!

June 2021

“The anxiety is building – will I get deported and have to leave my young daughters and husband? Thanks to Christina Murdoch the paralyzing mind numbing fear and stress was over after 8 years and I’m now a US citizen! I filed for citizenship on my own; and realized that I made a critical error – I inadvertently agreed to vote while filling out my driver’s license renewal. I certainly never thought about it again after I left the DMV. Never actually pursued it. It was a non-event for me personally. Fast forward 4 years later. I am five months pregnant with two young boys we fostered and hoped to adopt. Suddenly after seven years of marriage; becoming a citizen was very important to me so I applied and got turned down for claiming citizenship by ticking off “yes” I would like to vote. A letter came in the mail accusing me of being disingenuous and wanting to usurp all the rights of citizenship. Screw you it said. We will deport you. First of all – they gave me way too much credit. After working very long hours on a daily basis there’s barely anytime for me to usurp anything. I hired an attorney – sole proprietor and cheap. He was okay but not good enough. Changed strategies. I did a lot of research, read ALOT of reviews and decided on Scott D. Pollock & Associates, P.C. Private firm, expensive but not the two cows and a goat expensive. Just one cow. More importantly the firm won’t disintegrate into thin year after a few years. They were a firmly established business that had appeared to have great stability. Christina Murdoch is small unassuming woman who is a type of nuanced smart; you know – the type of smart where you can feel it. She’s also meticulous with an extreme inclination for details. She explained my situation to me very clearly. She gets down to business in her quiet way. Focused and exacting on my recollection of how my predicament started. She explains the law for me to understand what I did wrong. She explains all my possible options. She explains the costs associated with each option. My husband and I pick a path and go for it. Even the USCIS attorney is impressed with her. Dare I say admired her? Ps. She also helped me with my green card issue. Totally did not think I needed my physical green card to buy a home. Well lenders care very much and it was a no go unless I had it. I was able to get it just in time for closing and yes all thanks to Christina Murdoch! I say; give up the cow and get Christina.”

Very efficient and professional; highly recommend this firm!

October 2020

“I worked with Christina Murdoch and her Assistant Jessica Murguia for my I-485 case, which was pending for almost twenty months and Christina and her team helped me file a complaint to expedite it. Eventually, they helped me resolve this issue in less than two months.

When I had my first free phone consultation with Christina I was very impressed by how friendly and knowledgeable she was. Christina quickly recommended the best strategy for me. Later, I found that she was not only professional but also very efficient in answering all my queries, which is important for me especially in the pandemic situation. I truly appreciate her help.

I would also like to thank Michael, the firm administrator, and Jessica who have been very friendly and efficient in answering my administrative related questions such as billing and logistics. In general, Christina and her team are very professional and efficient. I highly recommend Scott D. Pollock and Associates to anyone who has immigration issues and wants to resolve them quickly and correctly.”

Patient and kind; highly recommend this firm!

October 2020

“So, we messed up our Removal of Conditions application and received the dreaded RFE. When we put that application together it was very last minute and rushed because I procrastinated. Anything to do with USCIS stresses me out and I tend to bury my head in the sand. I decided to retain a lawyer as I didn’t want to mess up again for the RFE. I shopped around for a bit. When I consulted with another lawyer that was highly recommended to us by a friend, he offered an affordable flat rate fee but he had made me feel like there was a good chance we wouldn’t get approved because of circumstances that don’t fit the mold of a traditional marriage. e.g. we don’t file our taxes jointly, and I’m not on the deed of our condo. That consultation left me feeling nervous and had me catastrophizing future scenarios where I would get deported, my wife would only be able to visit me once a year resulting in the deterioration and ruin of our marriage, my dog would have to remain in the states because I would never risk him dying in cargo on a 20 hour plane ride, that I would never get to hug most of my friends and family again etc, etc.

After that consultation I had one set up with Scott who was highly recommended to me by a lawyer I work with at my work. This phone call was vastly different. We went over the same issues as the other lawyer but he made it seem like these were just small hurdles and as long as we could explain them, then USCIS would be satisfied. I ended the phone call at ease, hopeful and confident that our application would go through just fine. Because of this, I decided to go with this firm.

Christina Murdoch and her assistant Araceli were assigned to my file. I couldn’t be happier with the service and quality of work I received from them. They were both super professional, extremely responsive and patient with me. Once again, my anxiety got the best of me and I stuck my head in the sand. Thankfully, Araceli checked one me often and nudged me along the way in a pleasant manner. With my wife’s help, we were able to send over our evidence to Christina and Araceli a month before the USCIS deadline (totally unheard of from me who waits until the very last minute for everything!). The file they compiled for us was thorough and well put together. It was overnighted to USCIS and seven days later we found out our file was approved! And another week later my green card was delivered.

In short, I highly recommend this firm and I’m so thankful to Christina and Araceli for all of their work, patience and kindness.”

Friendly, honest and professional!

January 2020

“We hired Scott Pollock close to one year ago. We have a complicated immigration case. Before hiring Scott, we hired different attorneys and consulted with many others (over the past 5 years). We eventually came across Scott D. Pollock and I’m glad we did! Scott is very knowledgeable and he always has a clear explanation for our situation, upcoming steps or any question that we have. Scott and Christina were always fast to respond to our emails and very knowledgeable and clear. They are both very friendly, honest and professional. A pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Scott’s firm for immigration needs.”

Beyond 5 stars!

June 2019

“My family and I were helped by attorneys Christina Murdoch and Scott D. Pollock over the last 10 years of immigration journey for my mother, sister and brother to USA under different circumstances and different visa categories. There are just not enough words to describe how great they are! They are beyond 5 stars. They both are just simply above and beyond!!

My entire family has experienced nothing but professional excellency with Scott D. Pollock and Associates!!! After working with Attorney Murdoch, Attorney Pollock, and all their office staff for more than 10 years, I truly believe & I can say with confidence that Scott D Pollock & Associates is really an excellent immigration law firm! I am not only just satisfied, I am amazed and so impressed with the quality of services and assistance they provide!! Attorneys Christina Murdoch and Scott D. Pollock are highly professional, knowledgeable, very sincere, and honest with their clients. I always found them truly trustworthy, responsible, very quick in responding, and very sensitive to time limits!! Every time they prepared documents and forms I was amazed how much attention they paid to every detail, and how thoroughly and carefully they review before filing. They have excellent communication skills and are very passionate about their client cases. I find their staff very professional, efficient and ethical. All I can say is that since the very first day we met Attorney Scott D. Pollock and Attorney Christina Murdoch we immediately knew we are in the best hands, and left their office with feeling of peace, trust and great confidence!!!

My mother, brother, sister and our entire family believes that we are simply blessed to have found them!!!! I will never forget that Attorney Murdoch and Attorney Pollock have helped save my sister from being left alone to die from cancer without help in another country. Attorney Murdoch’s extraordinary and excellent representation of her case made it possible to get Humanitarian Parole visa! Since then Attorney Murdoch has helped renew the HP visa multiple times successfully and eventually her Permanent Residency in USA! With Christina’s and Scott’s help, just 3 days ago my family was blessed with completion and closure of the last of many difficult and complicated immigration cases with USCIS of my mother (citizenship process with complication of dementia and multiple disabilities and I-130 petition for my siblings), sister (Medical Treatment visa, followed by Humanitarian Parole and difficult renewals, then finally Permanent Residency), and my brother (successful visitor’s visa with difficult and complicated immigration history, followed by F1 Student visa, then H1 work visa, and finally EB1 visa and Permanent Residency just last week)!!!

In-A-Nutshell, I trust them so much that I can say with confidence, if one is in need of help with any Immigration matter, I pray and wish that they find their way to Scott D Pollock and Associates!”

Enthusiastic recommendation!

June 2019

“I enthusiastically recommend Scott D Pollock and Associates for immigration cases. Attorney Christina Murdoch provided outstanding immigration support to allow my wife’s sister to come to the US for medical treatment and rehabilitation. My wife’s sister was diagnosed with oral cancer and she alone with no family in a foreign country. With Attorney Murdoch’s help we applied for a visa for medical treatment, but unfortunately the visa was denied. This left my wife having to decide between her sick and likely dying sister in a foreign country and her elderly mother, with dementia and other aliments in US. After the cancer surgery and chemotherapy the sister still needed rehabilitation, additional treatments, and could not care for herself. So with Attorney Murdoch helped us apply for Humanitarian Parole that was successful. The seriously ill sister was able to come to the US so my wife could care of both the sister and her elderly mother.

We appreciate the professional and good support from Attorney Murdoch and Scott D Pollock and Associates for all their help to make it possible for us to have meaningful lives again.”

The best immigration attorney in the U.S.-- No Kidding !

June 2017

“I met Christina in Summer 2011 when immigration denied our I-485. She challenged the decision and helped me to get approval in October 2011. But immigration denied our application again in April , 2012. Then she asked me to go to immigration court as an immigration judge would decide much more fairly than USCIS. After 4-year waiting for an immigration judge, finally we got permission to stay in the U.S in November 2016. The judge sent back our case to USCIS and today all of my family members get green cards. We started L/C process in 2003 so it takes 14 years to get green cards. During the long period , Christina was even-tempered, decisive, well-organized and warm-hearted. She gave me proper advice whenever I fell into despair. My family count on her. We will be with her as long as we need an immigration lawyer. We love you, Christina!”

Professional and Knowledgeable

February 2016

“We hired Ms. Murdoch for our Adjustment of Status application based on our same sex marriage. We had been together for 18 years when DOMA was struck down and were eager to begin the process of getting a green card for my foreign born spouse. Ms. Murdoch demonstrated a very thorough knowledge of immigration law and was very responsive to all of our questions. She returned e-mails and phone calls promptly, provided complete and thorough answers to my many legal questions, did a good job explaining all of our options and presented a very convincing written legal argument to USCIS on our behalf. Our application was approved and my spouse now is a Legal Permanent Resident.  Immigration law is extremely complex and should not be attempted by a layperson. Definitely contact Christina Murdoch to assist you on your immigration needs.”

Extremely Responsive

October 2014

“Christina is extremely responsive and took the time to answer the mountains of questions we had about the timing, the process itself and what was required of us. She also provided advice along each step of the way as to what needed to be done and what would help us have a positive outcome. Our situation was a little different than most as I spend most of my time out of the States and my husband was out of status. With questions that she wasn’t sure about she took the time to research them for us and got back to us within a reasonable amount of time usually within 24-48 hours. We really appreciate all the help.”

Very Reliable and Talented Attorney

May 2014

“Attorney Murdoch is a very talented immigration attorney; I am lucky to hire her to work on my case! I am a staff member(not involved much in teaching or researching) working for a public university, the university wont sponsor a staff member like me to apply for a green card application. Without the sponsorship of an employer; the only choice for me is to apply for EB1-A, which requires me to demonstrate national/international claim as well as reaching the very top of my field.  Knowing my case is very edgy, I spend a lot of time to search a good lawyer and found Attorney Murdoch. It approves that I found the best person to help me!  She is experienced, patient and talent. Highly recommended!”

Wisdom, Ability and Hard Work

March 2010

“I went to about four immigration lawyers who told me that my case would make it nearly impossible to obtain a Green Card through the DV Lottery I had just won, because I was out of status. These lawyers told me I was safer not doing anything. So I decided to go with Scott Pollock & Associates because they told me differently. Christina took my case and she made the experience encouraging throughout because of her confidence in the subject matter. She paid considerable attention to every little detail of my case and provided advice and assistance that was beyond what I expected. I was able to go abroad with the necessary requirements and come back successfully as a permanent resident.  At a time when I thought all was impossible, Christina’s wisdom, ability and hard work really made my experience a lot more comfortable and kept me optimistic throughout.”
