I’m the grandson of immigrants. They came to the United States in the early 20th century. I appreciate what they did, I understand why they came here, and I recognize that people are coming to America for the same reasons that they did.
It just worked out after my first year of law school that I got an internship in an immigration project and that was great work for me. I also see a lot of unjust results in our practice in the government using its power against the interests of our clients, and as lawyers, it’s our job to be with our clients and get them through this process.
