Mr. Castañeda Focuses his practice on Employment and Family-based Immigration, Applications for Immigrant and Nonimmigrant Visas at embassies and consulates overseas, Applications for waivers of inadmissibility, Deportation/Exclusion/Removal Proceedings, Citizenship and Naturalization, Asylum, Appeals, and Representing Minors in Special Immigrant Juvenile Status cases.video He developed a passion for immigration law since he emigrated from Mexico to the United States in 2008. He has held various positions in both private and governmental sectors always furthering his objective of becoming an immigration attorney. Since 2014 he has gained extensive experience in removal defense and concentrates his practice in both employment and family-based immigration. Being an immigrant himself, Mr. Castañeda understands the plight that families, individuals, and companies experience when dealing with the complex U.S. immigration system.
He graduated from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Mr. Castañeda is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) where he serves on various committees. He has presented on legal issues impacting immigrants before multiple organizations, including AILA, the Chicago Bar Association and at various universities and educational institutions. While in law school, he was active in the Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) Legal Fraternity - coordinating professional development events as well as fundraising for Loyola's Law School Public Interest Law Society. He was also an arbitrator with the International Commercial Arbitration and CISG Team.
Mr. Castañeda is fluent in Spanish and proficient in German.
